What is Tohoku University
International Festival?
Tohoku
University International Festival (or
Interfes, as we often call it) is one of the biggest
cultural exchange events in the entire Tohoku region, with over 3000 visitors
every year. It is organized by Tohoku University Foreign Students Association
(TUFSA ) with the help of students
circle
@home
and other local organizations involved in cultural
exchange.
For over
25 years, the
Interfes
has been setting the stage for people from all over
the world to
meet, enjoy each other's
culture,
make friends
and celebrate the wonderful
diversity
as well as the multitude of common values that they
share.
Although this year has
been quite an eventful one, and has brought many changes to the lives of people
leaving in this area, we`d like to bring the festival back with its
cheerful voice, strong enough to reach to the places
that suffered unexpected loss and show our support, company and love. This is
why this year's theme for the
Interfes
is
`Borderless
Tohoku. Limitless love` - we want to surpass the
geographical borders and show the
love
and
sympathy people all over the world feel
for Tohoku!

If you want to try the food, you'll need
to buy
food tickets. A ticket has 3 meal coupons, costs
1200yen
and can be bought on the premises on the day of the festival. Buy them before
the festival or reserve some online for only
1000yen!

At this festival, the
first thing that will come to your eyes is food stand. This year, the kebabs
form Africa, Romanian home cooking,Vietnamese Pho , Japanese
fried noodles and others will be prepared and ready to be served to you. Well
simply,just come to the international festival and you can enjoy the cuisines of
the world. People of the world, more
than 20 countries,will gather and cook for you. This
is a great chance to
taste various
cuisines from many different countries
at once, so don`t lose this one!!
国際祭りに行ったら、まず目に入るのが屋台。
今年は、日本の焼きそばからルーマニアの家庭料理・ベトナムのフォー・アフリカのケバブ
などがあります。
国際祭りに来ただけで、世界の料理を満喫できます。
20以上の国の人々が料理を作ってくれます。
どれもおいしく目新しいものだと思うので、楽しんで下さい!
